Green Building

We create
Organic Solutions
for Americas businesses

If you are running a manufacturing facility this is the most likely place to do a time and motion study, but efficiency can be measured in every aspect of your business including purchasing, computer systems, and general business practices. We have a team of experts that can help you determine if you are running in the most efficient, sustainable manner. By using best business practices we can improve your bottom line. Learn More

We use only environmentally friendly and locally sourced products in all our building projects. This applies to a single structure or an entire community. We utlize bio-digesters for our sewage systems which allow us to recover methane for fuel and the waste product to fertilize you own garden or lawn.

In order to build a green building community or structure of any kind you need to be using sustainable and environmentally friendly energy sources.

Wind fits the bill in every category. The tower you see above is typically put in a rural area but we have other units which are compact enough to be installed on rooftops. These systems are more efficient and run and produce energy at much lower wind speeds then your standard windmill type wind tower. They can start producing energy with wind speeds as low as two miles per hour.

They are much safer to wildlife because the cage is surrounded by a mesh that prevents birds from flying into the cage and spinning turbine. Learn More

An additional benefit of using our green building design is we incorporate solar systems into all our construction projects. We use a solar panel that is much more efficient and where possible we use a panel that has photovoltaic cells on both sides and install then vertically so they get sunlight all day. Learn More

Best HEPA Air Purifier

Green building (also known as green construction or sustainable building) refers to both a structure and the using of processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from siting to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition.

At True Organic Tech we use only sustainable building materials that are locally sourced or reclaimed materials that are responsibly sourced or harvested and whenever possible locally sourced.

We use solar systems, wind generation, high levels of insulation (not your standard fiberglass insulation)and energy efficient windows.(we use a proprietary window that is actually a solar pane.) We also incorporate energy efficient appliances and lighting in our communities. We incorporate daylight (natural) lighting which promotes a happier and healthier environment for it's occupants. We incorporate low flush toilets, low flow shower and faucet heads to reduce water consumption. Our communities utilize anaerobic digesters to handle sewage waste which then makes bio-gas which is also used to power the communities.

Green Buildings Are Healthier

By using non-toxic materials and products we can improve indoor air quality, and reduce the rate of asthma, allergy and sick building syndrome. These materials are emission-free, have low or no VOC content, and are moisture resistant to deter molds, spores and other microbes.

Indoor air quality is also addressed through ventilation systems and materials that control humidity and allow a building to breathe.

Building It Sustainable

To classify a building as green currently requires very little change to the overall type of building you construct. At Hydronaturals® we take it farther. Does this mean it costs more? The short answer is yes but the long term result is a huge savings for the customer and for the environment.

Green Building Classifications

LEED provides a point system to score green building design and construction. The system is categorized in five basic areas: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, and Indoor Environmental Quality. LEED provides a sustainability framework for design, construction, operations, and maintenance of new and existing buildings.

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.

Green Building (Start To Finish)

You may think that a green building project starts when you first choose a site. You must first design a building or home or your housing development. This is done so you can then choose a site and carefully select how you want to prepare the site. We do not go in and clear cut the site but choose to selectively cut only the trees and vegetation necessary to achieve the goal. This is step two for us. We must know in advance how much space is required so we can determine how to best place the building or buildings on the site. This is a reverse technique from what is normally done.

Green Building Materials

1. We obtain our materials for a green building from natural, renewable sources that have been managed and harvested in a sustainable way; or they are obtained locally to reduce the embedded energy costs of transportation; or salvaged from reclaimed materials at nearby sites.

2 Energy Systems in Green Buildings

We use solar and wind design which will dramatically reduce the heating and cooling costs of the building, We also use high levels of insulation and energy-efficient windows. Natural daylight design reduces a building’s electricity needs, and improves people’s health and productivity.

green buildings also incorporate energy-efficient lighting, low energy appliances, and renewable energy technologies such as wind turbines and solar panels.

2.1 Passive Solar Design

Our passive solar design allows us to heat and cool the facility without the need for external fossil fuel based energy sources.

Careful placement of windows and the placement of the building itself are an integral part of achieving efficiency in our designs.

2.2 Passive Solar Heating

Our goal is not based on heating the hydroponic facility but to obtain the maximum daylight hours to use the sun to power our facilities.

Wind Generators

Our systems use an additional power source of wind to power the lighting and pumps. This furthers are removal of any fossil fuel to run our facilities. These wind generators are high efficient and operate at much lower wind speeds giving us more energy with less wind.

Water Management and Recovery

We recirculate and filter all the water that is not used by the plants or lost to evaporation. We also use a rainwater recovery system that catches all the rainwater flowing off the buildings. With these methods we have over a 60% water savings from standard hydroponic facilities.
